Fleetwood Mac (1967-1987)

You have probably heard their sound before. Considering they basically invented it. I view this group as the most creative vibe of all rock groups. Some of their songs can be seen as so poetic and artsy that it's rare to find a 'boring' song. Out of all their discography, no other band can ever replicate what Fleetwood Mac has created It's natural 'Blues' the band brings is astounding. Much like Pink Floyd, Their cover art is almost as good as the music they produced. I don't really understand most concepts for album covers, but the cover for their 1979 album 'Tusk' is brilliant.

Now I don't just appreciate their style, I also admire some of their creativity in certain songs. A great favorite of mine is from their "Rumours" album, called "The Chain". Now I don't often pay attention to the music whenever I listen to them. But on this song, the composing is tremendously well organized. You can really tell the emotion they set this song out to be. This track definitely upgrades the album to what it truly is.

Members:

-Mick Fleetwood: Now here's a man with passion on what he does. He's had such a good career as a drummer. He was in Spinal Tap, though not a real band but a very comedic one. I really enjoy his style as a percussionist too. Very distinctive.
-Lindsey Buckingham: This artist really knows how to write music. And sing as well. And play guitar. Another multi-talented musician. I see Lindsey as the brains behind the group. I believe he directed where the band was going artistically.

-Stevie Nicks: Stevie is proof that women can play an important role in rock and roll. Not only an excellent singer, but a great front-woman as well. Her talent can really help a group like Fleetwood Mac.

-Christine McVie: Another great female rock and roll artist. Her keyboard abilities are unbelievable. "You Make Loving Fun" wouldn't be a good song without her.
-John McVie: Although I felt like I heard his style before, he's very agile on the bass. Not my favorite when he plays certain tabs. But all in all, he's pretty talented.
To sum it all up, Fleetwood Mac is guaranteed to shock you when you first hear them. I will always think of this group as a very poetic blues group. Mixed with some of the best genres of all time, Classic Rock. I would definitely recommend this to a person who doesn't like heavy music, but doesn't want it bland.
